Setting the Stage for Your Perfect Event

Conveniently located in Downtown Columbus, the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center is housed in one of the city’s most famous historic landmarks, provides a truly unique and lovely setting for weddings up to 150 guests. We are a premier multi-use visual arts center with a beautiful garden Courtyard and/or a large Main Gallery that can provide the perfect venue for a special summer wedding day. The Main Gallery and Courtyard are available for weddings on Saturdays only.

Making a Reservation

The information below will answer many of your questions about renting one or both of our spaces for a Wedding Reception, Ceremony, or Elopement. Stop by during our hours of operation to see for yourself. Better yet, schedule a private tour and get your questions answered by contacting:

Wedding Rental Pricing

Prices reflect a minimum 6-hour block of time unless otherwise noted. Additional hours and spaces are subject to additional fees.

2024 Rental Pricing:

  • Gallery Only: $1,470
  • Courtyard Only: $1,470
  • Gallery and Courtyard: $2,520
  • $200 per additional hour
  • Elopement in Gallery or Courtyard: $200/1 hour
  • $300 surcharge for holiday weekends: 2024; August 31st
  • Purchase of Event Liability Insurance is required for weddings

Lessees must read and sign the FCAC Rental Contract and pay the rental deposit in order to make a reservation. Prices, dates, and festival dates are subject to change. Please contact us to verify pricing, schedule, and available dates.

ELOPEMENTS

  • Main Gallery or Courtyard Ceremony
  • Maximum six (6) people; the couple, officiant, two (2) witnesses, and photographer.
  • Available during business hours on weekdays
  • 1-hour block of time
  • Fee: $200

Amenities & Equipment

Amenities include: one changing room, up to 100 modern black plastic chairs, a grand piano, TV to scroll images, WiFi, four 8′ utility tables, three easels, a PA system (announcements only).

You must obtain guest tables and chairs (if you prefer) from an outside vendor. You may rent tent(s) for the Courtyard from an outside vendor or through your caterer.

Capacity

The activities you plan and the seating arrangement you select will determine the total number of people that can be accommodated. We suggest you work with your caterer/wedding planner to design a layout to ensure your needs are met.

Maximum Main Gallery capacity

  • Seated at tables: 150
  • Seated at chairs: 200

Maximum Courtyard capacity

  • Seated at tables: 120
  • Seated at chairs: 160

 

 

Catering, Setup & Teardown

If you are planning to serve food, you must hire a full-service caterer from the City’s Approved Beverage Contractor List.  The caterer must be in attendance for the total contracted hours and they are responsible for setup, food service, bartending, teardown, cleanup, and trash removal.

Accessibility

All of our spaces at the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center are accessible, thanks to automatic doors, elevator, and ramps to all the side entrances.

Parking

Guests parking is off-site at on-street via app or kiosk or pay parking lots surrounding the Priscilla R. Tyson Cultural Arts Center.
