Meetings Hosted at the Cultural Arts Center

Our meeting room at the Cultural Arts Center host a variety of local organizations dedicated to artistic pursuits. We can accommodate one-time events such as meetings, retreats and training sessions, as well as monthly arts meetings.

Regular Meetings

Several arts-focused groups hold their monthly meetings at the Cultural Arts Center. Hosting these meetings is yet another part of our commitment to fostering the arts and understanding of them in central Ohio and beyond.

The Calligraphy Guild of Columbus

Dedicated to the appreciation and practice of calligraphy and other book arts, the Calligraphy Guild of Columbus was founded in 1981 to promote the history of the practice and study its modern-day applicability. The organization meets from 9 am to noon the second Saturday of each month, September through May, and visitors are always welcome to attend.

The Ohio Writers’ Guild

The Ohio Writers’ Guild, a supportive group of aspiring and published authors, meets the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30 – 8 pm. Visitors are always welcome. Writers share works in progress and finished manuscripts for critiquing and networking in a relaxed setting. Novice writers are welcome to attend to read, discuss or critique. Fiction, nonfiction, poetry, freelance articles and essays are all presented for comments and suggestions. “Writing is thinking on paper. –William Zinsser
