I was born and raised in Cuba before immigrating to America. My family and I came to the United States in search of our dreams. Coming from Cuba where opportunities are limited, America was the place to enjoy a better future for me and my kids. Like many, my life has always had its ups and downs but I never let it stop me. As far back as I can remember I always worked with my hands, from making clothing and poems to my current works of art. As I grow older I taught my loved ones to appreciate art and to follow their own passions. Its never to late to do what you love.
Cecilia Roman is formally trained in the field of audio visual communications. Her artistic vision has evolved over twenty years to include oil paintings focusing upon abstraction. Her impressions are recognizable but not literal. Her style incorporates the valuable mentoring of community artists. These are selections serves as a catalyst to explore the arts and to use its methods to communicate, create and react to our surroundings.
Born in Puerto Rico, Jeremy began art studies at the age of 12 at the Escuela Central de Artes Visuales. He holds a BFA in advertising and design from the Columbus College of Art and Design. His work is characterized by chromatic color intensities created by careful juxtaposition of surface colors placed on complementary hues. The body of work also experiments with mixed media to help create clever graphic approaches that present simple ideas. Jeremy lives in Delaware, Ohio.
