Making a Reservation
The information below will answer many of your questions about renting one or both of our spaces for a wedding reception or ceremony. Stop by during our hours of operation to see for yourself. Better yet, schedule a private tour and get your questions answered by contacting Jackie Barr, rental coordinator, at 614-636-3ART(278) or email@example.com. We offer tours by appointment weekdays between 5 and 7 p.m.

The activities you plan and the seating arrangement you select will determine the total number of people that can be accommodated. We suggest you work with your caterer/wedding planner to design a layout to ensure your needs are met.
Suggested maximum Courtyard capacity
- Seated at tables: 120
- Seated at chairs: 160
- Standing only: 200
Suggested maximum Main Gallery capacity
- Seated at tables: 150
- Seated at chairs: 200
- Standing only: 250
2021 and 2022 Dates are Available
The Main Gallery and Courtyard are available for weddings from 2021 April through mid-November and 2022 end of June through mid-September on Saturdays only.
All parties must read and sign the detailed CAC Rental Contract before any reservation is finalized. One-half of the rental fee is due upon contract initiation, with the remaining balance and your complete event plan due 30 days prior to the event. Cancellation charges apply.
If you are planning to serve food, you must use a licensed and insured caterer. If you plan to serve alcohol, it must be an open bar and drinks must be served by someone on the staff of the licensed and insured catering company. See our Approved Caterers & Beverage Contractor List.
Columbus Recreation and Parks maintains a running list of contractors who are pre-approved to serve beverages at city facilities, including the Cultural Arts Center. See below for the current list.
Amenities & Equipment
Amenities include: one changing room, a grand piano, TV to scroll images, WiFi, four 8′ utility tables, three easels, a PA system (announcements only).
You must obtain guest tables and chairs (if you prefer) from an outside vendor. You may rent tent(s) for the Courtyard from an outside vendor or through your caterer.
2021 CAC Chair Rentals: We have 150 modern black plastic chairs available for rent.
2022 CAC Chair Rentals: Up to 100 modern black plastic chairs included in rental fee.
Setup & Teardown
Your caterer will handle the setup and teardown of your event. Setup and teardown time must be included in your contracted rental time.
Note: Food trucks do not stay until the end of the event. You can have another vendor or responsible party be accountable for teardown, clean up, and trash removal.
Wedding Rental Pricing
Prices reflect a minimum 6-hour block of time. Additional hours and spaces are subject to additional fees.
2021 Rental Pricing:
- Gallery Only: $1,300
- Courtyard Only: $1,300
- Gallery and Courtyard: $2,000
- $100 per additional hour
- 20% surcharge for holiday weekends: May 29th and September 4th
2022 Rental Pricing:
- Gallery Only: $1,400
- Courtyard Only: $1,400
- Gallery and Courtyard: $2,400
- $200 per additional hour
- $300 surcharge for holiday weekends: July 2nd and September 3rd
