Rental Contract

All parties must read and sign the detailed CAC Rental Contract before any reservation is finalized. One-half of the rental fee is due upon contract initiation, with the remaining balance and your complete event plan due 30 days prior to the event. Cancellation charges apply.

Food

If you are planning to serve food and/or alcohol, you must use a licensed and insured caterer. If you plan to serve alcohol, it must be an open bar and drinks must be served by someone on the staff of the catering company. See our Approved Caterers & Beverage Contractors List.

Columbus Recreation and Parks maintains a running list of contractors who are pre-approved to serve beverages at city facilities, including the Cultural Arts Center. See below for the current list.

Approved Beverage Contractor List

Amenities & Equipment

Amenities include: one changing room, up to 100 modern black plastic chairs, a grand piano, TV to scroll images, WiFi, four 8′ utility tables, three easels, a PA system (announcements only).

You must obtain guest tables and chairs (if you prefer) from an outside vendor. You may rent tent(s) for the Courtyard from an outside vendor or through your caterer.

Setup & Teardown

Your Approved Caterers & Beverage Contractor caterer will handle the setup and teardown of your event; and this time must be included in your alotted contracted rental time.

Note: A full-service caterer must be hired, then a food truck can be an add-on. Food trucks do not stay until the end of the event, therefore, the full-service caterer is accountable for setup, teardown, clean up, and trash removal.

Venue Reviews

“My husband and I just got married at the CAC this past weekend. The venue is stunning! Jackie, the rental coordinator, was always quick with responses and was instrumental in helping us have the day of our dreams. We were hoping to have the wedding outside, but Mother Nature decided that Plan B was the best, and no one even knew that it was supposed to be outside, because the inside was so beautiful. Everyone commented on how awesome the place was. The artwork that was on the wall was amazing! They support the local artists and the community! I can’t say enough about the amazing venue!”

“Dear Geoff and the CAC crew: Thank you for helping to make our wedding so special!”

“All our family and friends were extremely happy with the location, and all your staff was great! The artwork and decorations tied together nicely! Thanks again to all your staff and you.”

“The Columbus Cultural Arts Center is an absolutely beautiful space to have our wedding reception! The gallery has rotating art, and it was beautiful to have surrounding our guests. Jackie responded promptly to all our questions, and we liked having a list of approved catering vendors to work with as well.”
