CAC Meeting & Special Event Rental Information 

Setting the Stage for Your Perfect Event
Conveniently located in Downtown Columbus, the Cultural Arts Center, housed in one of the city's most famous historic landmarks, provides a truly unique setting for gatherings from 10 to 300.  We are a multi-use facility suitable for a variety of functions from live performances and workshops to social, business and civic occasions. Our large Art Gallery, intimate Loft Meeting Room and lovely Courtyard provide the perfect venues for your event.

  • Prices reflect a 6 hr block of time unless otherwise noted. The CAC closes at 11pm.
  • Art Gallery and Courtyard available together from mid-May through mid-September on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays; at other times by special arrangement. Loft Meeting Room available year-round.

FAQS
1.

We offer both the Courtyard and the Main Hall Gallery spaces for meetings and special events. These spaces will be available from mid-May through mid-September on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Available at other times during the year by special arrangement. We offer the spaces in 6 hour blocks at the prices listed above. The Loft Meeting Room is available year round, depending upon previous bookings.

We highly recommend you visit the CAC to be sure it fits your needs for your very special occasion. If you would like a private tour, please contact Todd Camp at 614-645-7514. We offer meetings/tours by appointment.

Suggested maximum courtyard capacity: seated at tables is 120; at chairs, 160; standing only, 200.
Suggested maximum Gallery capacity: seated at tables is 150; at chairs, 200; standing only, 300.

Suggested maximum Loft Meeting Room capacity: 25.
The activities you plan and the seating arrangement you select will determine the total number of people that can be accommodated. Please work with your caterer/event planer to design a layout to ensure your needs are met.

4.

If you are planning to serve food, you must use a licensed and insured caterer. The CAC must receive a copy of caterer’s insurance with a waiver to hold CAC harmless. Refer to the Preferred Caterers and Beverage Contractors list.  Any other caterer must be approved by CAC administration. If you plan to serve alcohol, you must select from the Recreation and Parks Preferred Caterers and Beverage Contractors List.

5.

Amenities include a grand piano and one changing room. You must obtain tables and chairs from an outside vendor, with the exception of the Loft Meeting Room, for which we provide tables and chairs for up to 25.

6.

Your caterer should handle the setup and tear down of your event. Set up and tear down time must be included in your contracted rental time. You may rent tents for the Courtyard from outside vendors; check with your caterer.

7.

Guest parking is off site at public meters or pay parking lots surrounding the CulturalArtsCenter. Catering trucks may park in our staff parking area if space permits.

8.

All parties must read and sign the detailed CAC Rental Contract before any reservation is finalized. One-half of the rental fee is due upon Contract initiation with the remaining balance and your complete event plan due 30 days prior to the event. Cancellation charges apply.
